History Saints
Peter & Paul Church of South Bend, Indiana is one of the oldest
Serbian Orthodox churches in the U.S.
In 1911, a small group of only eleven Serbian families came
together in faith and with a strong abiding love for their Orthodox
Christian faith to build the first church in South Bend.
They had little money, but with hard work and personal sacrifice
the cornerstone of the church was laid in 1911.
This devoted small group of Serbian people finally realized the
reward of celebrating the Divine Liturgy to the glory of God in their own
church. Today, under the leadership of our priest, Fr. Sasa Nedic, we are confident that our Church will continue to grow to the Glory of God. Church
